Shaun Gouws
has always been captivated by how things work, from dismantling toys as a child to mastering the art of renovation and construction. Growing up in a family that bought, renovated, and sold houses, he gained hands-on experience in the transformation of spaces. With an honours degree in feature film production, Shaun brings a narrative sensibility to design—ensuring each home tells a compelling story. His expertise bridges the artistic and the practical, making him a visionary in both aesthetics and craftsmanship.
Heleen Gouws
With a background in fine art and an eye for exceptional design, Heleen Gouws has spent decades shaping interiors that merge aesthetics with purpose. After obtaining her diploma in interior design in the 1970s and degree in the 1990s, she transitioned into interior design, founding Blue House Design and growing it into a firm renowned for its residential and corporate projects. Her ability to reimagine spaces with precision and elegance ensures that each Hys Hys home is both sophisticated and deeply considered.
